Frogmind is stoked to announce today that BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition is now available for the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems and PlayStation®Vita in North America with full Cross-Buy support, as well as for Windows, Mac and Linux through Steam worldwide. The Xbox One version launches this Friday (5/29) with a Wii U version coming at a later date.

BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition is based on Frogmind’s multi-award-winning game, BADLAND, a console-quality game for tablets with over 25 million players worldwide. BADLAND is a side-scrolling action adventure with innovative physics-based gameplay and stunningly atmospheric graphics and audio. Players control a flying creature, Clony, and try to survive through an astonishing number of imaginative and deadly traps, puzzles and obstacles within a dense, beautiful forest. One of the key gameplay mechanics is cloning, where players end up controlling dozens of Clones at the same time.

BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition builds on the excellence of the original game with improved Full-HD visuals and completely revamped controls, perfected for PlayStation® platforms and PC. The redesigned gameplay expands that of the original by offering full directional control over the game’s characters. BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition features Cross-Buy functionality on PlayStation® platforms, offering players the game on all three available systems with a single purchase. It also supports Cross-Save, allowing players to continue progress on any of the platforms.

The Steam version of BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition is available in a standard edition, as well as a Deluxe Edition, including the game, its soundtrack and a digital art booklet. The Steam version supports up-to-four-player multiplayer gaming from a single keyboard (old-school style), gamepad controllers, and any combination of controllers and keyboard.

“BADLAND was designed to be platform agnostic, and it’s a dream come true to have BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition come to PlayStation® systems and Steam,” said Johannes Vuorinen, co-creator of BADLAND. “The new controls, improved Full-HD visuals on the big screen and old-school local multiplayer bring BADLAND to life in a whole new way on these platforms. So be sure to check the game out while the launch sale is commencing, and join the noble cause of saving the Clones! They need your help!”

BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition features over 15 hours and 100 levels of single-player story content, 100 co-op levels, and 27 multiplayer battle stages for up-to-four-person local multiplayer awesomeness. All levels have been rebuilt to suit the new control mechanics.

BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition is available now with launch week sales that take the price to just under $10 from the base price of $11.99 on PlayStation® for PS+ members and $9.99 on Steam.
